Discover ACOL is a suite of powerful online tools that enable you to explore in-depth occurrences of words and phrases in the context of their appearance within the text, yielding deeper and fuller meaning to your reading and understanding of the message of A Course of Love. These tools are offered here with love and at no cost. We request only that you respect the permissions copyright policy, should you publish any material based on the results of these tools.
The Center for A Course of Love is a non-profit. It rests on love, time, talents, and money offered by friends and receivers of ACOL, such as yourself. This suite of tools was designed and created by Colin Strutt, given to Mari Perron and the Center, and are shared here with all who are receiving and living ACOL’s message. We invite you to
give generously and support the movement of A Course of Love out into the world.
The Concordance is an alphabetical index of all words and some common phrases that appear in ACOL. It shows these within their immediate context along with the number of times the word or phrase occurs.
For some common “noise” words, such as “a” and “the”, only the count of occurrences is shown.
The Search Facility allows you to search the text in A Course of Love for a word or phrase.
The search result lists all instances of the word or phrase in ACOL. Each instance includes the context in which the word or phrase is used and a link to the full paragraph. From the full paragraph you can also view previous and next paragraphs.
Detailed instructions on how to refine your search are provided in the Search Guidelines; along with many insights and examples that enable you to make the most of the ACOL Search Facility.
The Concordance includes the number of times a word or phrase appears in ACOL. A full list of Word Counts is available as a separate PDF document.
Asterisks indicate “noise” words for which only counts are shown in the Concordance.
For the curious: A Course of Love has 255,069 words.
The Concordance and the Search Facility refer only to the text within A Course of Love.

Readers of the earlier three-volume printing of A Course of Love books (with blue covers) will know that the Course and the Treatises lack precise paragraph numbering while the Dialogues offer none. The reference citations provided by the Concordance and the Search Facility reflect the paragraph numbering convention of the ACOL Combined Volume.
The following three documents are quick reference guides, listing every paragraph in the ACOL Combined Volume, showing each paragraph number along with the first few words of the paragraph, enabling you to locate passages in your three-volume version of ACOL.
